With the New 3DS and New 3DS XL coming, it sort of makes sense that Nintendo Japan has now officially shut down production of the original 3DS XL.
The original 3DS is still being produced, although we’re unsure if this will remain to be seen when the New 3DS comes out alongside it’s new XL big brother.
While Australians have already gotten their hands on the New 3DS and New 3DS XL, a North American and European release date has not been confirmed at this time.
The new handhelds come with a second analog stick, an upgraded CPU, new ZL and ZR buttons, enhanced 3D tech, swappable face plates (for the regular size only), and graphically superior games that are exclusive to the new hardware.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
