Nintendo had a surprise reveal this morning – they’re finally localizing the original Fire Emblem game.

Nintendo is localizing Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light for the first time on December 4th, 2020, for the Nintendo Switch (via the eShop), for $5.99.

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, was released 30 years for the original Famicom. A Nintendo DS remake was released in 2008, and was released a year later in the west as the first time the game was released outside of Japan, however as a remake.

It’s worth pointing out the game will only be available to download until March 31, 2021, a similar practice Nintendo is doing with other limited releases like Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario 35.
