Nintendo has trademarked the name “Delta Emerald” in Japan.

The mark itself was filed back on May 2nd, although it just went public today.

Earlier this month, Nintendo announced the awesome news that two full remakes for Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby are coming, titled Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby, both for the 3DS.

Pokemon Emerald was the third game developed and released after Ruby and Sapphire, although a remake for it has not been announced yet.
