We’ve learned (via IGN) that Nintendo is going to continue their Nintendo Direct broadcasts, following the unexpected passing of former Nintendo president Satoru Iwata this past July.
“Nintendo Directs will continue,” the representative for Nintendo told IGN. “But we have no details to provide now on who will be featured or the topics that will be covered.”
Iwata-san was the former host of the broadcasts, and he brought a memorable presence with him in each recording. Since his death, Nintendo has not held a new Nintendo Direct, but they have named a new interim president, Tatsumi Kimishima.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
