Nintendo have announced that there will be another Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase, focusing on their development and publishing partners.
Nintendo’s official US Twitter account tweeted “Tune in 9/17 at 7 a.m. PT for a livestreamed #NintendoDirectMini: Partner Showcase, featuring information on upcoming #NintendoSwitch titles exclusively from our publishing partners.”
After E3 2020 was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, numerous companies took to making their own “Direct” style livestream press conferences. Nintendo however- the company that arguably kickstarted the trend- has yet to make a singular grand show for their major releases.
Instead, major announcements have come via press releases and trailers. Nintendo have used smaller Directs focused on individual series. In late April it was rumored that Nintendo had cancelled an unannounced Nintendo Direct scheduled for June, due to complications caused by the coronavirus pandmemic.
The prior Partner Showcase was in July; revealing Shin Megami Tensi V, Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster, Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda, and more. If this upcoming Direct Mini is anything like that, we are sure to be in for a surprise or two.
