Nintendo has announced (via Wall Street Journal) their first smartphone game, Miitomo.
The new smartphone-bound game is meant to foster communication among friends, while hopefully getting them to chat about topics they might not have mentioned otherwise.
The game was revealed during a press conference by Nintendo’s interim president, Tatsumi Kimishima, who spoke during his first appearance as the company’s head.
The free-to-play game will let users create a Mii avatar, to which the Mii will go out and communicate with their friends’ Mii avatars, automatically.
“You might dig up some previously-buried topics of conversation, learn about a surprising side of your friend you’ve never seen before, find things you never knew you had in common,” Kimishima said.
