Ninja Theory has given us a look at their recent combat review meeting, where key members of their development team discussed the combat system in Hellblade, their upcoming action title.
Featured above, you can view the developer roundtable, which also features the combat designer from DmC Devil May Cry, who took part of the critiquing process, although she’s not a part of the actual development team.
Within the video, we also get a look at some early, prototype footage of Hellblade, and more notably the behind-the-shoulder view that Ninja Theory is currently using for the game’s core mechanics. There is split-screen multiplayer in the video, but this is purely for testing purposes (one dev controlling an enemy, the other controlling the protagonist), and isn’t indicative of the finished product.
Hellblade is currently in development for PC and PlayStation 4. A release date hasn’t been announced yet.
