Coming hot off Sony’s Press Conference at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, Ninja Theory has officially announced their newest game, Hellblade. Hellblade is described as a personal journey through a hellish underworld.
Featured above, the trailer shown focuses on a dead being being brought back to life while the female warrior, Sensua, is sent to a twisted domain. She is seen wielding a sword with mysterious markings. More details on the games’ announcement can be found on the PS Blog here.
The studio has had a uniquely talented team, responsible for the development of some profoundly memorable titles. In the last generation, the team released the PlayStation 3 exclusive action/adeventure, Heavenly Sword, which followed a courageous vixen through a quest to save her tribe from a vicious king using a mystical, mysterious sword. In 2011, the team brought us Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Based off a Chinese proverb, the game took characters Monkey and Trip through a beautiful, dangerous post, post-apocalypse in an attempt of survival against vicious machines. Lastly, the team took the reigns of Devil May Cry in 2013, featuring a new, vivid presentation, solid story and refined combat mechanics.
