Ninja Five-O gets re-release on modern platforms

Ninja Five-O

Publisher Konami has announced a re-release of Ninja Five-O, one of the most sought-after games from the Game Boy Advance era.

Ninja Five-O is getting re-released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The game will utilize Limited Run Games’ Carbon Engine, and the company will offer a physical release on all three platforms.

Released back in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance, despite originally being developed Hudson Soft (prior to them being merged fully with Konami) the game was never released in Japan.

Here’s a rundown on the game, plus a new trailer:

One of the most sought-after titles for the Game Boy Advance, Ninja Five-O (also known as Ninja Cop) is an action platformer game that tasks hero Joe Ostugi with eliminating a terrorist group corrupted by a set of mystical masks.

Over 20 years after its initial release, the Carbon Engine team at Limited Run is bringing this title back to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation platforms. This re-release features the true-to-release controls and playability that the Carbon Engine is known for, along with rewind features to put players in control of the game.

Physical pre-orders and digital launch coming in 2024. Stay in the loop by following Limited Run Games on your social platform of choice!
