Sandbox Drone Sim Nimbatus Leaves Early Access May 14

Nimbatus

Developer Stray Fawn Studio have announced via a new trailer that their sandbox drone sim, Nimbatus, will be getting a full release soon.

In Nimbatus, players construct elaborate drones from scratch using a variety of modular parts and weapons. Players can control over 75 parts of their drones directly, or program them by installing different sensors and logic parts. Players can also unlock more parts via a tech tree.

Send out your drones and explore a fully destructible, procedurally generated galaxy. Planets are fully destructible, each with their own biome and enemies.

Along with three gameplay modes (Survival, Sandbox, and Competitive), players can choose from six captains that offer their own playstyles. Players can even organize asynchronous multiplayer tournaments, thanks to their programmed drones operating without oversight.

The game entered Early Access towards the end of 2018, with its most recent update being 1.0.2. You can read more about that here. The new release date was revealed in the description of the video.

You can find the announcement trailer below.
