Scott Cawthon has confirmed via a post on Steam that the original Five Nights at Freddy’s games are getting HD console ports.
“I’m working closely with the people at Clickteam to create new, improved, HD ports of all of the original games! They will be released on Android, iOS, Switch, XBox and PlayStation!”
He considers the work 20% done so far, and also offered similar completion estimates on other projects.
The VR and AR games are 40% and 10% done respectively. He also stated the next big game project he wants to work on “FNAF: Into Madness”:
“This is the next game that I want to work on myself someday, a compilation of several previous gameplay ideas in the same vein as Update 2; just a free game for the fanbase. There isn’t a guarantee that it will happen though; I’m still recovering from the first four years! :)”
His post also details that there is a deal being discussed of a AAA game that “fans will want to see”, a book series with Scholastic, and a script for a movie (where the prior script had been “tossed” that Cawthon felt could be better).
