Screaming Villains has announced Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition.
The new re-release of the infamous video game will go down sometime this spring, and it will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Featured above, you can view a new trailer showcasing the game’s full-motion video (FMV) sequences, something you kids out there have the benefit of never experiencing.
If you own a PlayStation 4 or are just looking for a cringe-y reminder of gaming’s history, you can pony up for a physical version via Limited Run Games.
First launched for the Sega CD back in 1992, Night Trap had parents across the United States fuming over its mind-bogglingly realistic visuals, and its mature content. This led to the game being taken off the market, hearings on violent video games in the actual United States’ Senate, and even helped in the creation of the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).
Here’s a rundown on the classic game, via Screaming Villains:
Night Trap tells the story of five teenage girls spending the weekend at the Martin home. As a member of the Special Control Attack Team, your job is to monitor the home and protect the girls using an intricate system of cameras and traps as it is being invaded by vampires.
