NieR:Automata Ver1.1a is far from the last anime series to be delayed in the last few years. Most recently Uncle From Another World was delayed by months; the show premiered in July 2022 and only just aired its season finale earlier this month.

The series was announced in 2022 and is the latest project from A-1 Pictures. A-1 Pictures is known for their work on Kaguya-sama: Love is War and more recently Lycoris Recoil.
