Square Enix have announced the English localization of Nier Re[in]carnation has finished, with the pre-registration announcement coming soon.
The news comes via the game’s English Twitter account, via a statement from director Daichi Matsukawa.
“My apologies for the long silence since the last letter.
Please allow me to explain the current development status of the English version of NieR Re[in]carnation to those who are awaiting its release in North America and Europe.Localization for the initial release has been completed and we’re currently making final adjustments in preparation for the upcoming preregistration.
I apologize for the long wait, but we’re doing our very best to ensure that everyone will enjoy playing NieR Re[in]carnation and it would be greatly appreciated if everyone could wait a little longer until the preregistration announcement.”
The game focuses on a small girl awakening in a world of towers and dungeons, with a small ghost like creature called Mama. To regain her memory, she must use what little she can remember to call upon heroes to fight terrible monsters within her memory. The game achieved (as of late February) over 5 million downloads since its Japanese launch.
Nier Re[in]carnation is coming soon to North America and Europe on Android, and iOS.
We will keep you informed as we learn more.
