NieR Re[in]carnation has achieved over 1 million downloads in the west, and is celebrating with free gems for all players.
The English Twitter account made the announcement, along with all players receiving 1,000 gems for free. It should be noted that on top of this announcement coming three days after its western launch, this is in addition to over 5 million downloads shortly after is launch in Japan.
The game’s western launch also came with a cross-over event with NieR: Automata; bringing companions, costumes, weapons and limited-time quests based on that game for a limited time. It is entirely possible this event may have also brought in Automata fans who would otherwise have not played Re[in]carnation.
