Hopefully the localisation isn’t much longer. And hopefully it doesn’t get 8-4’d too much.

If they do, expect import sales to go way up on the Japanese version.

One of these days I’ll have to learn nipponese to avoid this crap. One day…

I hate that when people counter people complain about poor localization they always use “LEARN JAPANESE ASSHOLE!!!”. We shouldn’t have to do that but sadly it is a viable option at the moment until treads change.

PC version + fixed subs mod would seem like the way to go with this one.

I know it’s fun to think that people who care about faithful translations have any sort of impact, but the sad reality is that they do not. If 8-4 botches it, then only a relative few will switch to imports.

I need this so bady with a well-optimized PC port so I can actually run it.

I mean, 8-4 handled the first game (while admittedly that was over 6 years ago now) so I imagine if they have a similar team then the localization won’t be too bad.

I only hope that this time we get the choice of Japanese or English audio since Drakengard 3 got it. That was some promising sounding voice work from the trailer.

You could just get it fully optimized on your PS4 instead of shelling out thousands on a PC that’ll be adequate for a few years.

Optimized for PS4 Pro* I think you mean. Regular PS4’s will have to contend with frame-drops and sub-par AA.

Since they’re aiming for 60FPS, it probably won’t even be 1080p on regular PS4’s but for PS4 Pro, 1080p is the minimum mandated resolution from late Sept. onward…

I dunno about Platinum’s latest PC ports, but Metal Gear Rising was kinda trashy so… eh.

I’m going to sound naive but I think Nier Automata will be 60 FPS on vanilla PlayStation 4. At the very least it can be done. Uncharted 4’s multiplayer is 60 FPS.

Or, you know, hope for something I can run with medium graphics than spend $300 on a console I’d only want 4 games for, 2 of which aren’t exclusives.
    No thank you.

I agree, hopefully the game turns out to be a emotional roller coaster just like Nier. That game tugged on the heart strings, hopefully Nier: Automata follows suit.

900p 60FPS. And remember that a big problem with consoles is actually CPU power, even with the PS4 Pro. U4 MP has no AI from what I know so it uses less CPU power that the SP.
