NieR: Automata Goes Gold

Square Enix has confirmed some wonderful news – NieR: Automata has gone gold.

The news was confirmed via Square Enix producer Yosuke Saito, who announced it over on Twitter.

This means the game’s development and code is finalized and ready to be put onto game discs, for distribution.

NieR: Automata launches March 7th for PS4, with a PC release coming later this year. A demo for the game is also available on PlayStation 4, which you can read more about here.

That’s cool – going gold a month before release suggests that there shouldn’t be any major bugs. Hopefully the game turns out to be good.

It means the game is finished and the only thing left is manufacturing the copies and doing all the administrative work necessary for release.

One excitement hurdle down, another to go. Hopefully the PC version runs at its best on Day 1… or even Day 3.
