NieR: Automata Demo Coming Before End of 2016

Square Enix has confirmed a playable demo for NieR: Automata.

The new demo is reportedly coming sometime before the end of this year – news confirmed by the publisher at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.

Game producer Yosuke Saito previously teased they were considering a playable demo of the Platinum Games-made title, however they were concerned over providing enough meat for players to get a real taste of the action RPG.

NieR: Automata is launching for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 23rd, with a North American and European release sometime early next year on PC and PlayStation 4.

A demo means they are confident in the game they are delivering.Hope this will turn out good.

I hope the demo isn’t a PS4 only demo ala RE7. I need Nier Automata injected into my bloodstream pronto

Cool. I’ll give it a try. The demo can convince me to get the game.

Glad this is getting a demo. I hope they do what Nioh did and offer a choice of what framerate you want.

I can’t remember the last time I heard a company using the word “Demo” or “Demonstration” as opposed to “pre-beta/alpha/zinga/omega”.

It sounds so… good. Like you can actually expect something finished and of quality, indicative of a product with the word “demo”. “Beta” is just a rotten word to me nowadays.

This is gonna be great. And It’s nice that Demos are slowly coming back. I think we need them more and more nowadays with how crazy games have become in price or how we get sold on one thing then its a completely different thing like No man’s Sky

I remember it. Back in July 2016 SNK used the word Demo for their King of Fighters XIV demo :(

This is pretty much a blind-buy for me, but might give the demo a spin to curb the wait hunger.
