NieR: Automata is available now for PlayStation 4 in North America (Europeans get it on the 10th).

While our review is in progress, I wanted to hold you guys over until we can publish it by doing an unboxing video for our NieR: Automata Black Box Edition. You can find that video above.

NieR: Automata is also coming to PC on March 17th.

Got mine today. Got to say, that art book has some super thick paper.

And yes, the first thing I did was look under that skirt. Nice detail in the statue. Expensive? Yes, but it’s Nier, dammit. It deserves my support! Been playing since the first Drakengard~

I wish I had the shekels to afford it but unfortunately like usual the Square Store has atrocious Canadian shipping on top of being a bit too overpriced in my opinion.

Absolutely gorgeous designs in general though. Shame about the not-super-great quality on 2B – she deserves a proper scale figure.

God damn that’s a beautiful collector’s edition. That steelbook is great. I’m not sure I find it worth ~$200 though, especially with the 2B Flare figure on the way.

I always have a boner for thick artbooks.

Would have bought it if the figure was bigger.

I want to cum on the figure.

Nice figure, would buy it if it was sold separately as it’s not included with PC version.

And heavier. SE’s collector’s edition figures are super cheap which makes most of them WAAAAAAY overpriced. I learned my lesson with FFXIV: Heavensward Collector’s Edition.

I’m glad I passed on this. In comparison to the Horizon Zero Dawn CE and even the Sword Art Online Hollow Realization CE, this is absolutely not worth $200.

Worry not, it shall be hotglued.

Great and all but I don’t think the price is worth it. Besides, I doubt we won’t see other statues or figurines of her in the long run. I predict a figma.

Is it worth it? For being super limited and giving me a reason to throw my money at this game it sure was

The figure does look more like a prize figure then a full blown 1/8 figure

I really hate that Square only sells their collector’s editions on their store… Makes them no-buys for me. And I really want that statue… (If it had been on amazon or best buy I could have gotten a 20% discount via Prime/Gamer’s Club)

If you want premium product, you need to pay premium dollar.

Holy hell I was sweating when he was cutting the figurine box open with a scissor. Damnit you do not open collector’s edition with a scissor, do you not have a box cutting knife around? >.>

Even though, other than the PlayArts Kai stuff, most of what Square puts out as premium products aren’t even close to being premium quality.

or even an xacto knife. Seems like every household should have at least one box cutter and one xacto knife.
