Dr Disrespect has returned to streaming alongside deleting his confession to sending sexual texts to a minor, prompting numerous other streamers and pundits to comment on the situation.
In his first stream since the entire debacle, Dr Disrespect told his audience he was only joking to troll people into believing he had engaged in the sinful behavior.
He also claimed that he would continue streaming as normal, before proceeding to blast the former friends of his who cut ties with him after his original confession.
One of those former friends is Nickmercs, the owner of FaZe Clan and a popular Kick and YouTube streamer. Nickmercs and Dr Disrespect used to be gaming buddies, but this ended in June after Dr Disrespect confessed to texting a minor.
Dr Disrespect and his fans have been blasting Nickmercs for “disloyalty,” but after last night, Nickmercs has fired back.
“This ****** Dr Disrespect is married with children, pushin’ 40. Admits to texing a minor inappropriately. His words, not mine. So I cut ties, because obviously that’s inexcusable. Now I’m a s*** friend for not having his back??? Buncha brain-rot morons on this app.”
Nickmercs fans have also pointed out that Dr Disrespect made no effort to show proof that he was just trolling, or to offer screenshots rebuffing the charges against him. Another point made is that Dr Disrespect hasn’t clarified why he deleted his confession to sending inappropriate messages to a minor.
While fans of both streamers are warring on social media platform X, Dr Disrespect has also announced that he is appealing YouTube’s demonetization of his channel.
However, even if he succeeds, he will still be isolated from the wider game streaming community who he used to collaborate with. This is in addition to losing his spot in the game company he helped start, Midnight Society.
