Today’s Niche Spotlight is Yaga, an action-RPG based on Slavic folklore by Breadcrumbs Interactive and Versus Evil.
Yaga released last year, but recently made its way to Steam and GOG. You play as Ivan, a one-handed blacksmith and grandson of the witch Baba Yaga, that must keep taking on increasingly absurd jobs from the Tzar. However, the man has notoriously bad luck.
Shape Ivan’s playstyle and abilities by acquiring various hammers, tools, talismans, magic items, boons, and curses; as you hunt down vicious monsters from Slavic folklore and eastern European pagan beliefs. Your actions and choices can affect the outcome of Ivan’s story, for better or worse, and the game is designed to be replayed over and over again.

Yaga is available on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, GamersGate, GOG, and Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for $24.99 USD.
