Niche Spotlight – Sucker for Love: First Date

Sucker for Love: First Date

Today’s Niche Spotlight is Sucker for Love: First Date, a comedic visual novel about dating interdimensional eldritch horrors by Akabaka and DreadXP.

You play as a budding cultist that has finally acquired a Necronomicon. After performing the only ritual that you can read in the arcane tome, you invertedly summon Ln’eta, a cute tentacle-faced eldritch abomination from another plane of existence. Ln’eta offers you a kiss if you perform more rituals for her, and soon your quiet life is full of other attractive female Lovecraftian horrors looking for a date.

You can find the launch trailer below.

Sucker for Love: First Date is available on Windows PC via Steam for $9.99. You can try the game out for free by playing the prologue on its Steam page.

You can find a rundown (via Steam) below:

Obsessed with occult rituals, you have finally obtained the last thing you need to summon the eldritch horror that has been haunting your dreams; a strange, bright-pink Necronomicon. You perform the only ritual that doesn’t appear to be insane ramblings, and inadvertently summon Ln’eta, a cute cthulhu-like girl. She agrees to a kiss, on the condition that you perform a few rituals from the book for her first. Looking back at the Necronomicon… all of the other pages suddenly make sense?
