Today’s Niche Spotlight is Prodeus, a retro-inspired FPS by Bounding Box Software and Humble Games that just left Early Access.
Prodeus is a fast-paced throwback to ’90s shooters with a modern coat of paint and new technologies. The game was made using modern rendering techniques and technology, but utilizes lo-fi pixelated aesthetics to add to its retro-inspired charm.
Blast through hordes of demons with an arsenal of high-powered weapons in Prodeus‘ campaign, all to the tune of a dynamic metal soundtrack.
Take the action online in competitive multiplayer featuring a variety of modes from the Golden Era of PC FPS action. Prodeus also features a powerful but easy-to-use map editor that also includes a built-in community sharing browser.
