Today’s Niche Spotlight is Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!, a psychological horror visual novel by Team Salvato and Serenity Forge.
Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! is an enhanced version of the cult hit psychological horror visual novel from 2017. This rather infamous game starts out like a fairly standard romantic visual novel, with a boy joining the Literature Club at school and finding love. However, everything takes a dark turn as his relationship with the club’s female members grows.
This enhanced edition of the game features a number of upgrades and new content over its original free version, including 6 new side stories, 13 new music tracks, new unlockable images, and updated HD visuals. It was also announced the game would feature optional in-game content warnings.
