Niche Games Spotlight – Fading Afternoon

Fading Afternoon

Fading Afternoon is a brand new “open world” beat’em up game set in Japan.

Players take on the role of Seiji Maruyama, an aging Yakuza member who finally got out of prison. Let loose on the streets, he searches for meaning in a world that’s moved on with out him.

Fading Afternoon

The game is the latest from developer “yeo” whose past work includes similar gangster drama like The Friends of Ringo Ishikawa and Arrest of a Stone Buddha.

You can check out the trailer for Fading Afternoon below.

You play as Seiji Maruyama, a middle-aged yakuza recently released from prison. Old tropes are here but you can choose to not follow them. The question is — does anything really matter that much now?

The game features:
– Multi-endings;
– Complex beat’em up action;
– Mini-games;
– City to explore.

Fading Afternoon is available now on Windows PC (via Steam).
