Astral Gunners is a brand new side-scrolling bullet hell game from indie developer Sati Bros.

Astral Gunners has five different playable characters, each with their own elemental theming and unique playstyle. One of the coolest features is that the game takes a page from Star Fox and has a customizable route that allows players to experience stages in unique ways based on the order. Players can spice up their runs even further with “System Hacks” that modify the game in different ways, making it easier or harder.

Play as five different Gunners each with unique ways to break bullets, obliterate enemies and collect medallions in style. Each character comes equipped with two offensive shots, one defensive ability to dodge and break bullets, and a special ability to deal massive damage and increase your score!

This is one of those games I had the privilege to preview at MAGFest a few years ago (before I even began writing for Niche Gamer) and it was pretty fun. There’s a free demo so you can try it for yourself!
