Spring is finally here and with it comes a brand new batch of games with variety for everyone.
For some, they’ll be heading off to enjoy the upcoming spring break with a nice vacation. But most gamers will likely be staying at home to enjoy some of what there is to offer this month.
Here’s our Niche Games Release Recap for the month of March 2025:
Two Point Museum
The Two Point franchise is back with Two Point Museum. This time players are tasked with building and managing a museum filled with interesting exhibits to keep visitors interested.
As expected from this franchise, players can expect many humorous items, interactions, and commentary. All while enjoying a surprisingly deep simulation as they tackle the many challenges that come with running such a business.
Two Point Museum launches on March 4th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam).
FragPunk
FragPunk is the latest entry to the hero shooter genre, one marked closer to the audience of Valorant or Strinova rather than Overwatch or Marvel Rivals.
What sets this apart from others within the round based tactical shooter space is the inclusion of “Shard Cards”. Which players can find during each match to make every round play different with effects that’ll change the flow of combat.
FragPunk is set to launch on March 6th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
Split Fiction
Hazelight Studios are back with another co-op adventure with Split Fiction. The game follows two writers who find themselves transported into the worlds they’ve created. As with their other titles, players will have to work together in cooperative play in order to succeed.
In order to escape, they’ll have to work together in order to overcome the many obstacles they themselves created ranging from fantasy stables in trolls all the way to futurist cyber ninjas.
Split Fiction releases on March 6th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
Suikoden I & II HD Remaster
The classic titles are back as Suikoden I & II both get their much deserved HD Remaster to modern hardware. Everything that made gamers fall in love with these initial entries are there in their full glory and then some.
In keeping with enhancements to gaming since their original launches back on the PS1. The remasters also sees the addition of auto-saves, fast-forward during battle, and additional sounds to immerse players into the world.
Suikoden I & II HD Remaster is slated to release on March 6th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam).
Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The Assassin’s Creed franchise returns with Shadows as they enter the long requested Japanese region of the world. In it players will player as shinobi assassin Naoe and samurai Yasuke.
Beyond using stealth and taking down targets through any means, players will also build up their own network of shinobi group as well as create their own custom base to run through their operations throughout the game’s story.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) on March 20th.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition
After a decade of being stuck on the ill fated Wii U, Xenoblade Chronicles X is finally making its debut on the Nintendo Switch just in time for the next console to make it arrival. Jokes aside, this prequel title to the Xenoblade franchise is a fun title.
Players will enjoy exploring a world with their mechs known as Skell as they become one of humanities last hope on the edge of extinction. It won’t be easy to build up New Los Angeles on the dangerous and unforgiving planet of Mira though.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch on March 20th.
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is the latest in the longrunning franchise of the Atelier series with this one following titular character Yumia.
With this game, fans will find a new entirely unexplored open world with numerous secrets and goodies to find. They’ll be able to craft many items through the use of mana that’ll help turn the tides of tough real time combat.
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land will release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam) on March 21st.
Dark Deity 2
The indie tactical RPG is back with Dark Deity 2. Set 25 years after the first game, this new title sees Verroa rebuilt to prevent future wars, but such an event seems inevitable with the neighboring empire ready to take them in their vulnerable state.
With 45 classes to spread across 20 heroes, players will have to make tough tactical decisions to turn the tide of war in their favor. With multiple ways for them to build their army, no two playthroughs will ever be the same.
Dark Deity 2 is slated for a launch for PC (via Steam) on March 24th.
Killing Floor 3
The popular wave based survival shooter is back with Killing Floor 3. Series villain Horzine has returned and this time they’ve brought back the ultimate army with their legions of zeds ready to wreak havoc on the world.
Players will team up against these dangerous foes with a combination of powerful weapons, unique classes, and useful perks as they mow down the zeds in all its glory thanks to the game’s famous M.E.A.T system.
Killing Floor 3 will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) on March 25th.
Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark
The sequel to the Gal Guardians’ gothic sidescrolling metroidvania takes the newfound series to new heights. Instead of being limited within the confines of a single castle. The world has been expanded to encompass the whole demon realm.
Players will play as two brand new characters, Kirika and Masha, who each bring a new style of play as they battle against legions of foes and explore the world for secrets and goodies to find.
Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark releases on March 27th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam).
Venus Vacation Prism: Dead or Alive Xtreme
The spinoff franchise of Dead or Alive that has taken a life of its own is finally getting the romance sim that many fans have been waiting for. Players take the role of the owner of the Venus Islands working ahead of preparations for an upcoming festival.
During this they’ll be able to interact and get to know six cute and charming girls from the Venus Vacation series. As is typical from both the main series and spin off games, players can expect to see plenty of fan service moments with their favorite waifus. At least, if they aren’t living in the west where a release is not expected…
