February was a roller coaster for gaming with some of the biggest launches alongside some major duds. However, March appears to be turning things around as we warm up from winter and head into spring.

This month we’ll see some long awaited sequels as well as a long overdue title starring video gaming’s most famous princess. Here’s our list:


Expeditions: A MudRunner Game

As the full name of Expeditions suggests, players will be trying out the Mudrunner’s driving formula in brand-new situations where they’ll be traveling through tough terrain for research missions. They’ll have to prepared and plan out each mission with their team of hand selected specialists out in the field.

Keeping in tune with the franchise, careful navigation of the bumpy, slippery, and otherwise dangerous “roads” will be paramount to succeed in their mission as they explore lands from Arizona to the Carpathians.

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game launches on March 5th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam).

Unicorn Overlord

Unicorn Overlord aims to be another Vanillaware classic with its evolution on the tactical RPG space with a unique battle system. The story follows Alain, a prince fleeing his home and kingdom who ultimately is chosen to lead the liberation army to take back his home from the evil general Valmore.

Players will find a wide cast of over 60 characters across the five nations and beyond to regain his reign.

Unicorn Overlord will launch on March 8th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Alone in the Dark

After a long wait, Alone in the Dark is back with a “reimagination” of the original classic title that gave birth to an entire genre. Players have the option to either follow classic protagonist Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood as they discover the mystery surrounding the uncle of the latter.

Players will be able to see Derceto Manor with modern graphics that easily surpass that of the 1994 original. The game will be a love letter to the original that harkens back to nostalgia of many, while also providing new things that fans old and new can enjoy.

Alone in the Dark is set to launch on March 20th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and GOG).

Dragon’s Dogma 2

The long awaited sequel is finally coming with Dragon’s Dogma 2. Gamers will be able to see the evolution of the franchise after 12 years with additional ways to fight as they lead themselves and “pawns” into battles against powerful foes.

As they explore the lands, they’ll have to keep track of their environment and team setup to make the right decisions to engage against monsters or other options to either find victory or survival.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 releases for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam) on March 22nd.

Princess Peach: Showtime!

Princess Peach gets her own game for the first time in nearly two decades with Princess Peach: Showtime!. After her attempt to watch a theatrical performance goes poorly due to the attack of the evil Sour Bunch gang, the princess takes up the role of hero with her own twist.

Peach will be able to transform into many different forms such as that of a ninja, baker, cowgirl, and more as she goes through alongside new sidekick Stella to reclaim the theater.

Princess Peach: Showtime! will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch on March 22nd.

Rise of the Rōnin

Rise of the Rōnin takes place during a vital era within Japan’s history better known as Bakumatsu, which occurred during the end of the Edo period. Players will explore this world as a nameless warrior who’ll ultimately hold the fate of the entire country within his hands.

Players can make various choices that’ll affect the story as they choose who to befriend, who to kill, and shape the world the way they see fit. All while engaging in combat authentic to the era by mixing traditional weapons in swords along with the early builds of guns.

Rise of the Rōnin launches exclusively on PlayStation 5 on March 22nd.

South Park: Snow Day!

South Park: Snow Day! brings the franchise back into 3D with a new multiplayer focused title as the cast enjoy what many children could hope, school cancelation via a snow day.

Play alone or with up to three other friends as the gang go through the snow covered town in a brand-new original story for the franchise. You can equip and use many weapons, including plenty of crass ones the series is known for, as the friends must save the town from an endless winter.

South Park: Snow Day! is slated to launch on March 26th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and GOG).

Pepper Grinder

Pepper Grinder is an action-packed platformer with a special twist as players guide the titular Pepper with her Grinder tool as she embarks on a quest to recover her stolen treasure.

While many platformers might rely on running and making tight jumps, Pepper Grinder instead focuses on digging through platforms to navigate the strange world with tricky maneuvers and puzzles to solve.

Pepper Grinder is set to launch on March 28th for Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam and GOG).
