Niche Games

It seems that 2023 has flown by so quick now that we’re in December. The weather has turned cold and Christmas is right around the corner.

Last month saw some of the biggest releases we’ll be seeing this year, but December still has plenty left in the tank for some last minute games to pick up as gifts for a friend, or yourself.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince

The monster collecting spin-off of the Dragon Quest franchise returns with Dragon Quest Monster: The Dark Prince. The story tells a tale of revenge with a prince who finds himself cursed and unable to harm those with monster blood.

In order to achieve his goals, the prince will have to capture the numerous monsters of the franchise to command an army in the hopes of taking back what’s his.

Dragon Quest Monster: The Dark Prince will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch on December 1st.

Kingpin: Reloaded

Kingpin: Reloaded continues the trend of revenge as after a no-named thug is left brutalized, but alive by the Kingpin’s lieutenant. Given a second change at life, he decides to take on the streets with nothing but a lead pipe in hand.

The remake enhances the classic title by bringing new modern features such as 4K and ultrawide support. The updated engine adds in useful features such as an improved quest system and new conversations that bring more out from the original.

Kingpin: Reloaded releases on December 5th for PC (via Steam and GOG).

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora tells a brand-new story in a never before seen location set within the universe of the popular film series. Players will follow a Na’vi who was captured by the corporation known as RDA, but have escaped from their grasp.
