So you’re a regular visitor at Niche Gamer? The obscure games, the niche games, the weird games, whatever you want to call them, we love them and we know that you love them as well. We only cover these games on our regular feed, and we only cover them on our podcast as well.
The topic of the week for this podcast is: Should games be all inclusive? This is in response to the Troy Baker statement that having the “Obligatory Female Character” is “Even More Disrespectful Than Not Having Women”. Should every game be made for as many people as possible?
You can enjoy our podcast below, or you can download it here (right click and save as).
How is the format this week – did it come out a bit better? Please let us know if there are any issues with latency or cutting out. Also, my son was being held/watched by my wife – before you guys think I was home alone and just ignoring him while he cried haha. About ten seconds after I stopped recording, my wife got him to stop crying – no lie.
The songs featured in today’s podcast are both in celebration of their respective games – first up it’s the opening theme song from Tears to Tiara II, which Atlus just confirmed to be localizing for North America and Europe. The closing song is “Soaring Through the Melancholy Skies” from the Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure soundtrack, which Mastiff has just put up for voting on Steam Greenlight.
So this week we’re giving away $50 in Steam credit. All you have to do is comment on our podcast here with input on how we’re doing. We’ll pick the winner the following Sunday – so good luck!! Please let us know what you guys want for next week’s giveaway, if there’s a particular game we haven’t covered and you want us on, etc.
