Niche Early Access – Encased, Noita, and More

This is Niche Early Access. In this column, we regularly showcase various promising games that are currently in some form of early access or development, and haven’t reached full release. Please let us know if there’s a game you want us to showcase!

I’m back with another batch of promising games that recently entered Steam Early Access. Even if you don’t like buying titles that are still in Early Access, remember to wishlist any games that catch your attention so you’ll be notified when they get a full release.

Here’s 5 new Early Access games that might be worth checking out:

Rec Center Tycoon

Rec Center Tycoon is a management sim about running your own recreation center. Build your center from scratch and fill it with desirable activities like gym rooms, pools, basketball courts, game rooms, cafes, and more. Hire employees and assign them duties based on their personality and preferences. Charge upfront with membership plans, or set prices based on what rooms customers use while visiting your rec center.

There currently isn’t an estimated timespan for how long Rec Center Tycoon will remain in Early Access.

Encased is an isometric post-apocalyptic RPG inspired by the older Fallout games. After a brief prologue, the game dumps players into a massive open-world sandbox with five factions to fight or align yourself with as you become a driving force in the wasteland. Encased features turn-based tactical battles that focuses on Action Point management, just like the original Fallout.
