After the sale by Square Enix, people have been wondering what come of the various IPs they loaded off – like the Tomb Raider franchise.

Today it has been announced that Amazon Games has partnered with developer Crystal Dynamics to publish the next Tomb Raider title, saying it will be the “most expansive Tomb Raider game to date.”

In their announcement, they state it will be developed on the Unreal Engine 5, information that was already known before the IP was sold off by Square Enix.

Beyond this, not much else was given about the upcoming project other than it being still early in development.

Details will be expected to be given out in the future, but it’s looking that the game will not be launching until 2024 at the earliest. Meanwhile, you can still play the previous titles in the series while waiting for this to be released.

The last entry of the franchise, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, is available now on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
