Namco Bandai held a special event for the Tales series at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, where a lot of fans were expecting news of the next mothership Tales game.
Unfortunately, series producer Hideo Baba was very tight lipped about their unannounced projects, and did not reveal a new Tales game, despite the recent trademark of Tales of Zestiria.
In an interview with Famitsu, when asked if preparation for the next game in the series had begun, he simply said: “It’s moving along nicely.”
He added: “As long as we never say that we’re putting a stop to the Tales series, or say that we’re not making any more games, you can safely assume we’re working on more Tales games. We’re working on a new project of course, and when we can announce something we’ll talk about it then.”
So there you have it, there is a new Tales game in the works (I don’t think anyone was worried), but we don’t have anything more than that unfortunately.
