A listing on the New Zealand PlayStation Store states a new release date for Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios’ Deathloop.
As previously reported, the game takes place on the island of Blackreef, an island full of debauchery and chaos. An assassin known as Colt however, is stuck in a timeloop with everyone trying to kill him.
Colt is still trying to reach his target; Aleksis Doresy, the “Alpha Wolf.” Along with Aleksis, Colt must kill eight “Visionaries” in one night, before the loop resets or rival assassin Julianna Blake kills him.
The game was last officially announced to launch Q2 2021 for Windows PC, and PlayStation 5. However, a listing for the game on the New Zealand PlayStation store notes the game’s release date as May 5th, 2021.
At this time of writing, there has been no official word from Bethesda Softworks, and the game’s listing on the US PlayStation Store states the game’s release date as “to be confirmed.”

You can also take control of rival assassin Julianna, sneaking into another player’s campaign and keeping him imprisoned in the loop by killing him. The multiplayer experience is optional, and players can choose to have Julianna controlled by AI within their campaign.

Each new loop in is an opportunity to learn from the past and adapt. Finding clues and uncovering hints is key to taking out targets before the day resets. Discover relationships, learn schedules and do whatever it takes to gain the necessary knowledge. Apply what you’ve learned in previous loops to devise other new strategies and eventually reach your targets.
