New Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut Trailer Showcases New Features

inXile Entertainment has released a new trailer for Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut.

Featured above, the new trailer showcases the game’s enhanced visuals, custom-fit radial menus and controls for a controller, as well as introduce a new physically-based rendering system. What this means is that inXile totally redid all of their environments, character models, lighting, and more to properly utilize next-generation hardware.

Some gameplay changes were made as well – like the character system, which is getting a large boost with both perks and quirks. Quirks let you specify new personality traits that can provide both advantages and disadvantages to player-created characters, while perks let you pick special bonuses and new abilities as you level throughout the game.

Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut is set to launch on October 13th in North America and on October 16th in Europe across PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (users who own the original on PC get the Director’s Cut at no extra cost).
