A new job listing for a position at Blizzard Entertainment suggests the classic real-time strategy game Warcraft III is getting even more content updates.
The new listing (via PCGamesN), which is for a senior software engineer, will have the applicant be “a key contributor for Warcraft III and other classics.”
The job will have the chosen staff “working closely” with Blizzard designers and the community so they can “help create epic features and bring about a balance that will keep players engaged for years to come.”
The hired staff will be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining various systems in Warcraft III, and there’s a preferred expectation for the applicant to have experience in AI, combat, pathing, multiplayer, and/or related game systems.
While this job listing, previous listings, and rebalancing patches further suggests that new content and even a remaster for the legendary RTS could happen, Blizzard previously said that a remaster won’t happen until the base game itself is fixed – when comparing it to StarCraft, which was a natural fit to be remastered first.
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne have been available for Windows PC and Mac, via the Blizzard store.
