Marvelous has officially released more details regarding Bhikkuni, as well as information regarding the game’s Collector’s Edition.

To begin, let’s talk battles.

Similar to Takaki’s Senran Kagura series, Bhikkuni will feature action-based battles. Square and Triangle will be the attack buttons, and mixing the two in correct tempos will create various combos. And of course, rushing down enemies that you knock up or down and continuing a long combo will be part of the action as well.

The Circle button will allow you to knock enemies up into midair while holding it down will thrust them away instead. The R button will be used for evading – both on the ground and in midair. And finally the X button activates “Phantom”.

Phantom will allow you to move at extreme speeds will hitting all the enemies around you. It’ll help you quickly destroy groups of enemy grunts, or assault an enemy with speed and power far beyond what’s normal. And, when not engaged in a close battle, Phantom can quickly get you across an area, closing in on enemies incredibly fast.

Also carrying over from Senran is the clothing destruction that’s now synonymous with the series. Damage accumulated during a fight can tear up your clothes, and stronger attacks can destroy them outright.

The last bit of info shared was a little bit more of an elaboration on Drives. During battles, as you attack your Liberator and Exstar will become more synchronized. As the Synchro rate fills up the Drive Gauge, it will evolve four times, making the girls that much more dangerous. The Exstar’s weapon form will transform as well becoming more and more destructive.
