Update:
We have received new information on the film’s plot.
The film will see Lupin working with Leticia (the new female character) to steal the Bresson Diary. The treasure was something that even the first Arsène Lupin could not steal.
Arsène Lupin has been referenced in the show’s canon before- including Lupin III Part I (also known as the “green jacket” series) where one episode has Lupin attempting to steal his grandfather’s top hat and cane from the decedent of his rival, Inspector Ganimard.
We do see a tattered top-hat and cane in the above trailer, so in this continuity Arsène Lupin’s attempt to steal the Bresson Diary may have been fatal.
Confirmed cast members include:
- Kan’ichi Kurita (Lupin III)
- Kiyoshi Kobayashi (Jigen)
- Daisuke Namikawa (Goemon)
- Miyuji Sawashiro (Fujiko)
- Kôichi Yamadera (Inspector Zenigata)
- Suzu Hirose (Luticia)
- Kōtarō Yoshida (Lambert)
- Tatsuya Fujiwara (Geralt)
