New Trailer for Injustice 2 Explains All You Need to Know

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios have shared a new trailer for Injustice 2.

Featured above the new catch-all trailer introduces “everything you need to know” about the upcoming fighting game.

Here’s a brief synopsis of what to expect, via Warner Bros.:

The video gives players a closer look at the game’s Story Mode and the variety of Super Hero and Super-Villain alliances at play, including factions led by the Dark Knight, Gorilla Grodd, and others, along with wild card characters like Supergirl and Swamp Thing.

Players will also get an introduction to the brand new social experience that Injustice 2 is bringing to the fighting game scene. In the game, players will be able to form a guild with up to 50 other players to share gear and build their own team of Super Heroes. They’ll also earn gear and other rewards that are exclusive to guild gameplay in daily and weekly cooperative objectives as they collaborate with friends to climb the worldwide leaderboards.

This comprehensive overview has everything players need to prepare for the launch of Injustice 2 on May 16 – from an in-depth look at the new Gear System, to a sneak peek at Multiverse mode and even the Injustice 2 mobile experience.

Injustice 2 is launching for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16th.

This is not even funny anymore, but I see they were going for an “all male cast” with this game….

“Custom gear that alters the characters abilities and appearance.”
Hey I remember when Soul Calibur IV did this.

“Injustice 2 begins in a fractured universe…” – boy, I’ll say – the fractured content in this game is unbelievable.

They even have the usual mobile app exclusive costumes again.

It’s the perfect game to have Poison as the guest character. He would be less redundant than Sub-Zero.

I don’t know if I understood it correctly, but if costumes are made of sets of armor with stat bonuses; the dlc in this game sounds like it may cause online play to be pay to win.

Here is what the community admin says: “Source Crystals can be purchased using real money but aren’t required to progress or advance in the game and can’t be used to purchase Gear or an advantage in gameplay. We value our community and want to be clear – you cannot “pay to win” with Injustice 2.”

Furthermore, when you play online, there is fortunately an option to turn off gear stats, so play with the regular character and the gear only changes appearance. I guess they did this to make sure the game is played at the tournaments.
