NIS America has shown off a new trailer for Disgaea 1 Complete.
Featured above, the new trailer shows off both the Prism Rangers and Asagi. The Prism Rangers are a boss you can fight in the game, yet were not playable in the original. They were first playable as a DLC class in Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten.
Asagi is a recurring character. Originally the protagonist from a cancelled Makai Wars game, she frequently cameos in other Disgaea titles, usually attempting to become the protagonist of that game (though she did eventually star in Makai Wars on mobile in 2018). Each appearance has given her a new personality, but she had not yet appeared in the first Disgaea game.
Here’s a rundown on the game:
The Overlord is dead. The Netherworld is in turmoil. Time to kick some ass! Netherworld Prince Laharl awakens to fight for his throne and it’s up to him and some unlikely allies to defend what is rightfully his. Together with his devious vassal Etna, the angel trainee Flonne, and a whole cavalcade of explosive characters, Laharl will slash, shoot, and punch his way to the top. Build your squad to level 9999 and unleash crazy special skills, team attacks, and spells to deal millions of points of damage in this zany high-definition remake of an RPG classic.
