The latest Famitsu (also via Ryokutya2089) has revealed some new tidbits and a new trailer for Sega’s upcoming Fist of the North Star game, Hokuto ga Gotoku.
The game’s Pressure-Point Action system lets them unleash deadly abilities via series protagonist Kenshiro. As the name suggests, the system lets you take advantage of pressure points in the bodies of your opponents to deal massive damage, especially if you time your attacks well with the Circle button. The dying words of your enemies can then be used as items or weapons.
Coming from this, you’ll be able to collect the dying words of your various slain enemies in a sort of library. In game there’s a gauge that can be filled, upon which you’ll be able to unleash a “Burst” technique that lets you massively strengthen Kenshiro.
You can also power him up with gems that can be assigned to a stats board. There’s a talisman system that also lets manga-illustrations cut into the game as you learn new abilities. Each talisman has its own ability and illustration, from the manga.
Lastly, there’s a new trailer for the game that introduces the various new information, featured above.
Hokuto ga Gotoku is launching for PlayStation 4 on March 8th in Japan.
