Electronic Arts has filed a new trademark for Jade Empire.

The new trademark was filed towards the end of last month, and includes typical descriptors for a video game: “Entertainment services, namely, providing an on-line computer game; Provision of information relating to electronic computer games provided via the Internet.”

While this could just be Electronic Arts doing the legal groundwork to protect the BioWare-developed action RPG, the developer previously teased a sequel is always potentially in the cards.
