New Super Smash Bros. for Switch to be Unveiled and Playable at E3 2018

When Nintendo confirmed their plans for this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, somewhat nonchalantly listed under their Splatoon 2 and Nintendo Direct events is the confirmation they’re going to have the new Super Smash Bros. there, and it’ll be playable.

The game will be shown off for the first time after their Nintendo Direct broadcast during that week, in a Nintendo Treehouse live broadcast. What’s more, the game will be playable on the showfloor in their booth at E3, which is also open to the public.

Further details weren’t confirmed – but place your bets on how many character reveals we’ll get at the show. So far, we know the game’s roster will include Link, Mario, and the Inklings from Splatoon.

This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo runs from June 12th through the 14th. Niche Gamer will be in attendance, providing you with the first hands-on for the new Super Smash Bros. game, among other titles.
