New Summertime Region in PoPoLoCrois Farm Story Detailed with Screenshots

Marvelous have previously detailed Matthew Village, a freezing northern settlement, for their upcoming RPG and farming simulator, PoPoLoCrois Farm Story. Now they’re taking us south with a new set of screenshots, which showcase the summertime region of Zuzuru. (The major hubs in the game are each associated with a season.)

The summertime Zuzuru region includes a settlement called Zuzuru Village, south of the Mauricio Ranch (detailed below). This village is located on a wide-gaping cliff with a cave, in order to avoid the stifling heat. As the village is in a cave, natural light never visits the inhabitants, which means that lamps are necessary.

Mauricio Ranch, a place with grasslands and watering holes, is another point of interest located in Zuzuru. The cowherd here, normally healthy, has been plagued by an unknown illness. There, players will meet Mayuri (voiced by Misato Fukuen), who is worried about her father, Mauricio (Michitaka Kobayashi), who is the owner of the Mauricio Ranch. He hasn’t returned from his search for a cure for the cows’ illness. The Prince sets decides to help the Ranch, and sets out in search of Mayuri’s father and the cure.

Another settlement in the Zuzuru region is the Zone Village, an everlasting summer resort with cheery residents. The village, built near the sea, features bustling shops and welcomes all visitors.

Players will meet fairies as they journey across the land. The fairy of the Zuzuru region, Romalia (voiced by Kumiko Nishihara) is pictured above. By released the fairies, players will be able to increase their livestock. Also, farming at specific locations will yield unique results. For example, by farming at the Gentle Geothermal Ranch, players will acquire Boomerang Cucumbers and Light Watermelons.

PoPoLoCrois Farm Story will be available for the Nintendo 3DS on June 18 in Japan. Watch the first gameplay trailer for the game here, if you haven’t yet.
