It’s amazing how much work has gone into Skywind. Starting out as a project to recreate Morrowind within the Skyrim engine, it has now become a full-fledged community mission that aims to improve upon the original rather than just emulate it. The newest development video, which went up two days ago, shows the recording of the soundtrack and explains in greater detail what they’ll be doing. (I for one love the idea of underwater combat.)

While Skywind‘s progress is zooming right along, it seems they need skilled scripters to get a lot of their desired additions into the engine. If you feel you can help, you might want to head over to their site.

With no release date and a dire need for animators and scripters, there is fear that this project may end up abandoned as did a few others in the past that have attempted such “renewals” Hopefully, this isn’t the case for the Skywind folks, since what they’re doing here is nothing short of a work of art.
