An anime adaptation of the fantasy series New Saga has been announced. The series is expected to premiere in July of next year as part of the Summer 2023 anime season.

New Saga is an ongoing light novel series which began in 2013. The story follows the Hero (capital H) Kyle Lenard whose party barely manages to defeat the demon king. With most of his comrades dead and the world entering an uneasy peace, Kyle is sent back in time thanks to a mysterious artifact. Using his pre-knowledge of the future, Kyle aims for an ending where all his friends live through the upcoming war.

The series is the breakout success of author Masayuki Abe. The anime will be a collaboration between animation studios Sotsu, Yokohama Animation Lab, and Makaria.
