Prope has put out another video for Rodea the Sky Soldier, this time showing off the other Sky Soldiers in the game, or more specifically, your rivals.

Featured above, the rival villains have been revealed in the new trailer. They’re known as the “R Series,” and the green-haired character is known as R-1. This rival of Rodea’s is thought to be an evolved form of Rodea, although he uses a defensive barrier, alongside huge energy balls.

There’s also R-2 and R-3, both of which look to Rodea as R-0. R-2 is adept at high-flying battles, with exhilarating speeds. He has an advanced form of R-1’s barrier, although it does more damage. He also has a spinning blade-like beam that is quite deadly. R-3 is seemingly the only female rival, and she comes with more of a balanced offensive.

The video also has theme song vocalist Chay talking up the release, as well as game creator Yuji Naka. Finally, the trailer finishes with a tease at the “perfect form” of the R-series.

Rodea the Sky Soldier is launching Japan on April 2nd, for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, with a western release coming some time later this year.
