Today is the 16th birthday of Legend of Mana, as the game launched on this very day in Japan, back on the original PlayStation.

To celebrate the game’s birthday, Square Enix and composer Yoko Shimomura have announced an arranged soundtrack from the game, dubbed the Seiken Densetsu Legend of Mana Arrange Album.

“I’d be glad if you eagerly waited for this,” said Yoko Shimomura when talking up the announcement. Famitsu is promising some more tidbits from Shimomura regarding the arrangement, at a later date.

The soundtrack will be re-recorded in the above studio, and Yoko Shimomura herself will be overseeing and producing the album.

Legend of Mana is one of my favorite RPGs of all time, so it warms my heart to see the game have another chance in the spotlight, all these years later. A release date is set for September 30th of this year.

You can find the official website for the album, here. A price was not given, however we’ll keep you guys posted.
