Tales of Symphonia was one of the best success stories for the RPG starved gamecube back in the day. The fans showed that they wanted RPGs and Tales of Symphonia went on to do very well, oh yeah, and there was also a sequal for the Wii that, well, lets just say it wasn’t quite as well received.
But fret not, as Namco is including both titles in one package in a glorious HD remake and they just released this trailer on their youtube channel which shows off some of the gameplay as well as wonderfully remixed versions of the theme songs.
The game launches on October 10th in Japan and will apparently come with a greeting card from animation studio ufotable who have done some of my favorite lesser known anime hits like Futakoi Alternative, 2×2 Shinobuden, and Manabi Straight. I might import it just for that. Let me know your levels of hype below.
