The series was created by Izumi Todo (a collective pen name for producers at Toei Animation), and has evolved into a multimedia franchise with theater performances, video games, and a live-action series.

The latest installment, Healin’ Good Precure, began earlier this year in February. It follows the magical girls as they try and rescue the magical Healing Garden from evil creatures called Byogens.
